This summer has been a rough one for many reasons, but the wildfires that have raged up and down the West Coast have not only hurt humans, but wildlife as well. Here at Petsania, we care deeply about how these fires have affected communities and wildlife, so we set out on a mission to find anyone who actively battles the devastation that has been wrought across the land. During our search we found the International Fund for Animal Welfare. They are a global non-profit organization who rescues, rehabilitates and releases animals in an effort to protect their natural habitats. Please continue reading for a small example of how they play a major role in saving animals lives during these troubling times.

In the beginning of September, members of the organization were deployed to Northern California to help rescue animals who have been involved in the northern complex fire. These brave individuals searched tirelessly through burned down neighborhoods, ready to help in any way they can.
